Gentle anesthesia concepts for our patients

Complex treatments are the rule in our practice for oral and maxillofacial surgery in Hamm. We guarantee our patients safe anesthesia according to the latest standards under the guidance of our experienced anesthesiologists. We use different anesthesia methods depending on the requirements and type of treatment. First and foremost, anesthesia is used for pain-free treatment. For our anxious patients, twilight sleep is the best method of getting through a treatment in a relaxed, anxiety-free and stress-free manner. Minor procedures are performed with a local anesthetic, the effect of which wears off shortly after the treatment. State-of-the-art monitoring measures are making anesthesia increasingly safe. Outpatient operations are accompanied and monitored by a specialist anaesthetist.
Before each operation, the anaesthetist will have a brief discussion with you about the characteristics and risks of the anaesthetic. The type of anesthesia will be decided together with you. It is important that you come to us prepared. This allows us to get a comprehensive picture of your state of health. The surgeon will give you an anesthesia questionnaire, which you should fill out legibly. If you have existing heart disease or are at an advanced age, please bring current laboratory results and, if necessary, a current ECG (not older than 3 months) from your family doctor. Prepare yourself with our checklist for your anaesthetic for your operation. Here you will find further important information on what to do before and after the operation. If you have any questions about anesthesia, you can download the anesthesia information sheet for adults or for children for adults or children.
